…is our own product that was the raison d’etre for the company when it was founded in 2010. It’s a hybrid cloud solution, including a NAS device at home or in the office and a seamlessly integrated cloud service. The data of the device is protected with mirrored disks and an encrypted backup to our cloud service.
The device was designed with an ODM from Varaani’s original concept with our own software. Whereas regular NASes require quite a lot of expertise, we wanted to make a solution that anyone could use.
We made e.g. a Linux distribution with Yocto, a secure boot system, key management with a TPM chip, over the internet updates, web inteface, health monitoring, and a media indexing and search system. We added “glue” to make ready-made components to work nicely together.
In the cloud we made services for backup, customer management, remote access, provisioning and softare updates. Partly we used commercial cloud services, partly “bare metal” servers orchestrated with Ansible. We also made apps for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
All this well scalable, multi-language, white label service with dozens of different brandings. The extra ordinary expertise created as a byproduct we now offer for our customer’s projects.
